Too low to rent, too low to sell! Lakeland Ledger article featuring The Agency

If you've driven around Lakeland or any town along the I-4 corridor in the past 6 months, you have probably noticed an alarming trend in real estate...homes with a For Sale sign in the yard right next to a For Rent sign.  The real estate boom of '05 & '06 helped flood the Florida real estate market with an unprecedented number of single family home vacancies.  Homeowners throughout the state have found themselves in a very difficult spot, unable to sell their homes for as much as they paid and unable to rent the homes out for enough to cover their mortgage payments.

On the cover of the Business Section of the 8/12/07 Sunday edition of The Ledger, staff writer Jeremy Maready wrote a very inciteful article about this very subject, featuring Jon Brock of The Agency.  To read the article, click on the link below, or copy the link and paste it into your browser.  If you or anyone you know is stuck in a similar situation, please comment in The Blog or contact us immediately at The Agency (863-686-7080).  Perhaps we can help lessen the burden for you.
